Having a captain alt, I have to say I'm in love with the changes to captains since Mine of Moria. Finally it seems all of our cries (no pun intended) have been answered. Captains can now do decent damage with the Lead the Charge DPS trait set, and with the new threat traits I have no trouble grabbing aggro when it becomes necessary, even from a champion (hunters are still a bit of a challenge). This was something captains really were weak in before--threat. Not so anymore, allowing caps to take on the role of tank or off-tank without much trouble (even when they lack heavy shields! They just buff and heal to make to for it Smile).

With the Hands of Healing enhanced heal set, they can even fairly fill in for a minstril if it comes to it, and the Leader of Men buff set lets them do what they originally excelled at--and do it even better. Plus the new archer herald just makes them all that much better in increasing their DPS while giving them a significant boost with ranged damage.

I love my captain too much now--all the blanks have been filled in--and the oathbreaker armament is a nice, creepy touch too. While I wouldn't exactly call it lore, it does offer a cool, different look (and stat boost) for the herald.

Captains now truly "command respect."
