Anyone looked at Fallen Earth yet? Fairly new and I've been reading the boards quite a bit and with all the recent, huge hype failures, this one kinda creeped up and has been receiving some very good buzz. A combo MMO/first person shooter kinda game with crafting making up a HUGE part of the game. Not a FTP, regretably, and I'm only a few hours into it but it looks very interesting. With most new release trying to become Wow 2, this one has taken a seriously different approach. And, from a VERY small independant company that seems to actually CARE about its folks! Horrors! Whats up with THAT?

Anyhow, just curious if anyone else has taken a peek yet.

I'm thinking it's going to be one we hear much of in the coming weeks.

it will definetely be a game that you fall in love with, or hate.

Truly it is so.

i played the beta version

its a very good game. if i wasnt playing champions id be playing fallen earth. the feeling of the world is very gritty and all the game play has been tuned to that. the combat system is quite fun and very engaging. the place the game really shines, i think, is in how they have integrated crafting and gathering of resources in the the core experience. at least during beta if you wanted to have the best gear you had to craft. I generally dont like crafting in a mmo but this one has done it right. you dont have to grind in crafting to advance. you make components the use you use to make your gear. by the time your you out grow your gear you have the crafting skills to make the next thing you need.

lots of varied terrain and thnigs to fight. and a very big world to explore. in beta at least the community was a good group. I had lots of fun with the people i met.
