Spore
Say, has anyone played Spore, yet?
I managed to get a hold of it, and I have two things to say about it. First, the game is way fun. Second, it really is a major milestone in the art that is video games.
In case you haven't heard of Spore, here is rundown of the concept of the game. Spore is a lot like Sim-city or the Sims (heck, it's made by the same group, Maxis), but while those games are essentially simplified simulations of a few different aspects of the real world, Spore is the simulation of Life, The Universe--and well, Everything!
The premise of the game is that you guide a fictional species that you create, using a creator program that raises the bar on customization, through it's course in the universe-

From Evolution to Advanced Civilization. Yes, this game is just that big.
Quite frankly, I find it really difficult to describe what Spore means for the future of games. It suffices to say that Spore is a game that very few developers would dream of trying; The game is absolutely HUGE! Essentially, it demonstrates that the near impossible, at least in developing games, is still possible. Just think of the possibilities if they worked this same idea into a full-blown MMO.
If you haven't tried it yet, I do recommend picking it up. It is quite addictive.

Och, I love Spore! The flexibility of essentially becomming God ^^
Finally hit Omnipotent then decided to uninstall due to Disk Space :S
Just *cough* watch out for said robotic monkeys nearby....
