I think you have a great idea for a thread here, Eeyesadi, and hopefully more members will want to add their own posts. It's fun for a lot of people to share RL info about themselves and read about others too. On the other hand, some people maybe be more involved in the interaction of their toons in the game world than sharing the RL stuff, and some lotroinfo members just come and go, so that sometimes there is a lull in the conversations on the forums. Though why anyone would ever want to leave after arriving at our lovely little site is beyond me. ;)
As for me, I'm an avid MMO gamer, former letter-carrier, medical assistant, teacher, and portrait artist (try to fit all of those careers in one life!) and presently an aspiring web designer/developer, digital artist, 3d-modeler/animator, and writer/novelist. I also am the main administrator of this site. You can say I have a little bit of ambition--either that or a little bit of attention deficit. :)
By the way, which EQ server were you on? I played for 4 years there myself.
As the sites main Goddess, T'was more of you that I did seek M'Lady. Glad you liked the idea and hope you "choose" to share more of yourself over time.....
I do realize we live in sometimes troubling times and personal info is sometimes not easily shared. We will see how much more you can give as as times moves forward?
Very interesting start ya gave us, but one must continue to wonder about......oh, pshaw!
You will tell us more or not as is your whim!
EQ was Morrell Thule. First real MMO for me and incredibly played basically one toon - a druid - for all 5 years. Went to WoW (Why did I ever?)and lasted 9 months. DOAC and many others before I settled on Norath yet again for the last 3 years. Wonderful game is EQ2. Discovered the wonders of the Bazaar server and at last count was up to 7 accounts and 40+ toons. OMG! I know - kinda silly!
Had tryed LoTRO at release and actually bought a founders account. Was totally unimpressed. Silly old timer I was. Came back a few months ago for a second look and have never returned to Norath.
Tis a very simple game to get into, yet hidden just below the surface is a wonderfully complex game. The real beauty is that you can play and enjoy the game knowing NOTHING about it. For me, every day is is a Forest Gump day - The old box of chocolates. I log in and just never know exactly what wonders will greet my arrival!
I was on a harvesting run this AM and stumbled upon the bounty quests in Esteldin.
Wonderful!
Is there ever to be an end to the joys of exploration and discovery in this new land?
Kinda like wanting to know more of the creature known as "Newmoon". Hmmm.......
I'll jump in a bit here. I'm a software programmer-in-training, video game enthusiast, pen and paper roleplayer and wanna-be game master. Some of my other characters represented on this site are Beorogar, Menoras and soon, Skeggrun (for our upcoming Rune-keeper guide). I have a hand in editing much of the content on this site for accuracy, because when it comes to games, I have a mind like an Alacritous Swift Trap.
Out of all the LotRO info staff, I'm probably the most "hardcore", and have the most characters and hours logged in the game (and many others), but I can certainly step back and appreciate the finer things in life as well.
My thirst remains unslaked!
Is there not a one amongst you, save Lord Andarne, whom will speak to me?
Tho I must say........."since a young age". Dang M'Lord, You ARE a young age!
Heh heh!
Ai, but I am not in mind! The body is but a prison for such a diverse intellect such as mine *chuckles*
/RP off
Naw, I'm young, just act older...even lookit! The amount of times I've been told I look early-twenties....*pout*
As for 'Young-age' well, try reading LotR at age 6 ^^ Senior Fiction has me as it's regular guest hehe
Thats better! A lil more activity is a wonderful thing. With RL constantly getting in the way of our times in the lands and actually seeing each other live, a GREAT forums board is truly a wonderful thing.
How old when you read.........Oh my!
You are quite the marvel young one. what other lands do you currently frequent? Back to the old inquiring minds deal......

Ha, welcome to my world. I played pretty much one main character throughout my 4 years on Fennin Ro. And that was my wizard, Miria Newmoon, who I invented specifically for EQ, and as a nudge-wink to myself, continue to create a doppleganger of that character for every world I venture into. Half the time I don't ever play her, but feel compelled to create anyway. Unfortunately someone took the name "Miria" before I could arrive in Middle Earth. :(
Wow, Morrell Thule. It must be a long time. I don't even remember that server. Well they were all something-Thule or somewho-Ro, as I recall anyway. :)

Sorry, you'll just have to wait for the movie. ;)
Still waiting for others to chime in. . .now would be a good time. . .
Lady Newmoon has spoken...........where are you all hiding? Come out, come out......Speak and be heard...........For Newmoon has asked very nicely.........
42 years of age and hailing form Indiana, I am a computer game fan since the days of the TRS-80 of my junior high's library.
I was in the open beta of LOTRO and was not that impressed with the early flow of the game. I am in the minority when I say that I very much have liked World of Warcraft and it was more of a draw for me back then. I've been wanting something different for a couple of years and I think that now LOTRO is the answer I've been wanting.
I'm on the Meneldor server and would very much like to have some fun with others. Right now, I'm just exploring The Shire and it's quests.
Welcome! As somewhat of a vet of many MMO's I can truly say LoTRO is different than most. The key difference, to me, is it's casual nature. Very solo friendly with lots of questing there is no sense of grinding here. The community is VERY mature and helpful. and I think the graphics are incredibly beautiful.
That said if your a WoW lover, you may find the pace to casual. Time will tell.
You may wish to read my post on Runes of Magic. A free to play gem it be. I can't stop playing!
...I'm just your everyday normal healthily sadistic teenager :P
Loving Lord of The Rings, the prequels and sequels since a young age.
LotRO has been my home for two years, and ye gotta give credit to Andarne for putting up with me controlling him 24/7 hehe
My thirst remains unslaked!
