Volume II Book 7: Leaves of Lórien Goes Live Tuesday, March 17!
The downloadable updater means you can download our latest content update before it goes live on the Turbine servers, saving you time when they come back up on March 17th. It also means you can download the patch on a computer that you don't have LOTRO installed on (i.e. your work computer), transfer the patch to a disk or device, and then run it on the computer with a LOTRO client to update it.

Cliff's Patch Notes and Anatomy of a Legendary Item
Submitted by Murgol on Mon, 03/02/2009 - 15:07
We have a couple new articles up. First was the aforementioned "Cliff's Patch Notes", an abbreviated version of the Book 7 patch notes for those who want only a quick summary of the most major changes. We're posting these in a special section of our forums, where any similar posts will go as well. Feel free to comment on them or the actual patch notes.
Also, we have the next section of the Legendary Item Guide, titled "Anatomy of a Legendary Item" which was actually up last week, but due to... ah... orc attacks, I--I mean we... seem to have forgotten about linking to it. Well anyway, here it is!
ABC File Library Update
Submitted by Velvyn on Sat, 02/28/2009 - 10:50
Heya everyone!
V here to let you all know we've just updated our ABC Library, which now has a new search feature, plus lots of room to grow! Our old Library was getting kinda clunky to update and had no way to filter stuff. Now it's way more user friendly and has the potential for lots of expansion! Check it, we've even added a few more files from our recent requests.
Plus there's also a new ABC Request form on the site, so we can take formal requests from anybody, and a Request Status page so everybody can see the submitted requests and check on their status! And the cool part is anyone can vote on any request, and get it processing faster!

Turbine just announced the advent of a new public test server, called Bullroarer, which will periodically be rotated with copies of all the characters of a single Live server, starting with Elendilmir.
More importantly though, since Bullroarer is now live, it comes with a preliminary list of patch notes for Book 7! You can check them out here, or stay tuned for an abbreviated analysis and summary of them here on lotroinfo.com called Cliff's Patch Notes, due sometime this weekend.
Legendary Item Guide
Submitted by Murgol on Wed, 02/18/2009 - 21:11
Being the expert treasure hunter that I am, I've come across a lot of lost treasures down in the depths of Moria. As such, I've become quite familiar with them, but it seems not everyone is as knowledgable as me. Therefore, I've decided to put together a comprehensive Legendary Item guide. It seems I've bit off a bit more than I can chew with this thing though. Legendary Items are a pretty deep system, so I've decided to release my guide in parts. So here are the first two parts of lotroinfo.com's Legendary Item Guide: Ground Rules and Terminology. Next week: Anatomy of a Legendary Item.

We're Back!

Recently LOTROinfo had some major downtime with the upgrading of our site's software. It was quite an ordeal to migrate all the site's content to the new system. But everything's back in place now, wow.
Visitors and members won't see any major changes from the front end, but the backstage workings have changed quite a bit, allowing a lot more ease in maintaining the site--a biggie for the staff because the whole place is mostly run by one or three people at best, and the tasks to create and update content can be titanic at times. :jawdrop: So here's to a quicker, easier LOTROinfo.com, not to mention the easier implementation of many our cool planned features for the future.
