New Members are granted 45 points on completing their Profile information by following their Profile Complete Percentage links seen at the left sidebar. Together with their current Registration points (5), New Members will receive a total of 50 points, and be granted Basic (full) Member status, receive the Basic Member badge, and gain access to additional Avatars.

Note: All members of any rank may complete their profile information at any time for the additional 45 Profile Completion points.

Members may earn points towards Silver Member status by contributing content to LOTROinfo's Tip, Item, and Quest databases, or participating on the Forum.

Members have access to all the following privileges:

• Access to all guides, news, comics, and database lists.
  
• Submit detailed Profile information. (+45 points)
• Access additional Basic Avatar models from male or female category, and Elf, Hobbit, Human, or Dwarf category.
• View other Member profiles.
• Post comments on general content without approval. (+1 points)
• Create forum topics without approval. (+2 points)
• Post Shouts without approval.
• Submit Quests and Items to the LOTROinfo database with approval. (+5 points)
• Submit Tips to the LOTROinfo database with approval. (+5 points)
  
• Invite new members to LOTROinfo. (+5 points)
• Vote on polls. (+1 points)
  
• Send and receive private messages on LOTROinfo.
