New Member is the status awarded to all newly-registered members. New Members are granted 5 points on registering a new account, and awarded the New Member Badge.

New Members have the ability to earn points towards the next level of membership: Member

New Members may earn the additional 45 points needed for full Member status by filling in their requested profile information by going to My Account/ edit and entering information from the various profile fields. These fields can also be easily accessed by following the links on the Profile Complete Percent bar on the left side of the page, directly under the Navigation Menu.

New Members may also earn points towards full Member status by contributing to the Forum, or the Quest, Item, or Tips database.

New Members have access to all the following privileges:

  • Access to all guides, news, comics, and database lists.
  • Submit detailed Profile information. (+45 points)
  • Access one of four Basic Avatar models from male or female category, and Elf, Hobbit, Human, or Dwarf category.
  • View other Member profiles.
  • Post comments on general content without approval. (+1 points)
  • Create forum topics without approval. (+2 points).
  • Post Shouts without approval.
  • Submit Quests and Items to the LOTROinfo database with approval. (+5 points)
  • Submit Tips to the LOTROinfo database with approval (+5 points)
  • Invite new members to LOTROinfo. (+5 points)
  • Vote on polls. (+1 points)
  • Send and receive private messages on LOTROinfo.
