Siege of Mirkwood Release Date and Pricing Info

Turbine has finally announced the release date of Siege of Mirkwood, as well as releasing information on its pricing. You can read the full press release here, but here's the important stuff:

• The expansion will go live on December 1st.
• It will cost $19.99 to normal subscribers.
• It will release concurrently with a package called the "LOTRO Adventurer's Pack" which is a bundle of goodies including a shared bank slot (bag?) between all characters on a server, and 2 extra character slots per server. There's also a "Dusky Nimblefoot Goat" mount, which is most likely that mysterious black goat that can be seen in the Stone Hall of Moria, and a unique cloak with a run speed bonus thrown in. This package is also $19.99 normally.
• Players who have an active multi-month (3-month or 6-month) subscription plan at the end of October will upgrade to Siege of Mirkwood for free when it releases in December. They will still have to pay for the Adventurer's Pack if they want it.
• Players with a Lifetime Subscription who purchase the Adventurer's pack at normal price will unlock the Siege of Mirkwood expansion for free. This makes getting the Adventurers Pack a no-brainer for players with this subscription.

At the same time, Turbine is dropping the price of a lifetime subscription to $199 again. With all the special offers, now looks like a good time for anyone with a normal subscription plan to upgrade to at least a multi-month plan if not all the way to lifetime.
