Submitted by Murgol on Tue, 08/26/2008 - 13:15.Don't like the position of a particular interface element? You can press CTRL + '\' (Backslash) to enter layout mode. While in this mode you can move the position of many user interface elements that you could not normally, and even change the orientation of undocked hotbars. Press CTRL + '\' again to exit this mode.

Submitted by Velvyn on Mon, 08/25/2008 - 15:21.The skill "Call to Greatness" has a different effect depending on the class of the target it is cast on. Auction Prices
Submitted by Urich on Mon, 08/25/2008 - 18:09.When putting an item up on the Auction House, make sure to check the other price offers for the same item. Price your item just under, perhaps a few silver less, than the others. This will ensure the likely hood of your item selling, while still getting the most money you can from it.

Mounts and Harvesting
Submitted by Urich on Tue, 08/26/2008 - 18:29.It is usually a good idea to have a horse when harvesting resources; it allows you to reach nodes quickly. Even better, and much less known, you can began harvesting a node the moment you click the dismount button. Though you'll still be in the dismounting animation, you character will start harvesting right away, and you'll be able to claim the node if there is competition in the area.

Repairing
Submitted by Urich on Tue, 08/26/2008 - 18:35.Keep your gear in good condition. Every time you sell to a merchant, remember to repair your gear while you're there. This is especially important after dieing, as this is when you take the most damage to your gear.

Chord of Salvation's Drawback
Submitted by Velvyn on Tue, 08/26/2008 - 18:38.After casting "Chord of Salvation" you heal your target instantly. But there is a couple seconds after that you cannot move or act at all while you finish the animation. Use this ability wisely.

Share the Knowledge
Submitted by Newmoon on Tue, 08/26/2008 - 18:36.Lore-masters should make it a habit to constantly check a monster's strengths and weaknesses with their "Knowledge of the Lore-master" skill, and share the information with the fellowship, if they aren't sure what they are. Most group members would be appreciative to learn this or be reminded. Even if you don't share the information all the time, you should use the skill and have the information ready, in case its called for.

Winning the Summer Festival Mount
Submitted by Newmoon on Tue, 08/26/2008 - 19:08.Winning the Summer Festival Mount is not too hard to do. Just follow these guidelines.
- Try to run the race at an off-hour, when there is less competition.
- Turn your graphics settings down to avoid frame rate issues, but make sure you can see where the arches you have to run through are ahead.
- If you have time, or between races, rehearse the course so you will be prepared for what's ahead.
- Begin at the far right of the starting line, and try to stay somewhat right of the path at all times. You don't have to follow it exactly. If the road curves a bit, try to cut across and avoid the excess curve.
- Listen for the NPC to announce the last seconds before the race. As it is just about to start, begin moving forward against the start line. When the race starts and the horses are released, you will have a jump start on them.
- Don't jump the hurdles. They will slow you down and make you fall behind. Run around them at their very edge.
- Even if you aren't in first place, keep running the race. Other racers might trip up and get disqualified, and there's always the possibility that video lag is lying about who is really in first place.
- If you don't win on your first try, don't give up! Just follow the guidelines above and try it all again! You'll get it if you just keep trying.

Tatics
Submitted by Urich on Wed, 08/27/2008 - 12:18.Plan your tactics based on you group set-up. For example, if you have an excess of CCers, like Lore-masters and Burglars, you may want to develop strategies that are mez and stun centric. Or if you have a lot of DPSers, like hunters, or espcially AoE-DPSers, like Champions, you may want to forgo any CC and develop tactics that rely on burning through enemies as quickly as possible.

Mining in the Moors
Submitted by Murgol on Wed, 08/27/2008 - 12:26.Perhaps the best place to mine Tier V ores is in the Isendeep Mine in the northern part of the Ettenmoors. The only problem is that this is a hotly contested spot, and any prospective miner is sure to eventually run into a monster player with an appetite for infamy. Each server's PvMP situation is different, but try checking out the map every now and then to see the Free Peoples control the mine, and if so, maybe check it out to see if it's safe to load up on some ore. Burglars are especially good at doing this. Using stealth, they can even mine there when the monster players control the mine, though it goes a bit slower.
